World Cup stadium, Green Point

The colour for this project was developed jointly by Ceramic Colors Wolbring and Wolfgang Imminger Consulting on account of the special requirements regarding transmission, reflection and absorption.

Glass manufacturer: Thiele Glas, Schrozberg.

Supporting structure: Cantilever glass roof, approx. 37,500 m².

Decoration: approx. 30,000 m² ceramic colour “TG Stadium White”, decorated with roller coating.

Scope of project: 8500 single panes in 72 segments.

Glass structure: 2 x 8 mm tempered glass as laminated safety glass with special, high static requirements.

Total glass weight: approx. 1600t with approx. 2t of ceramic colour.

Production time: 9 months.
